I am afraid my first thought upon seeing these paintings was deeply unprofessional (though purely human): they reminded me of cakes. You know the joyful, happy-occasion ones, when it is obvious that the person who made them truly enjoyed every step of the process and will be delighted if you can feel the same? Yeah, those.
