I like how from just one glance on these paintings you can see they are made by a Japanese artist — that meticulously fine line detail of hair, those cold, a bit absent facial expressions, this uncanny familiarity — quite characteristic signs. I like the sense of solitude and eerie emotional imbalance of these portraits.
