Scott Sueme and Billy Cheung: Chips Off The Old Block at Odds and Ends

Scott Sueme and Billy Cheung: Chips Off The Old Block at Odds and Ends

As organised as they look, those geometric assemblages by Scott Sueme are the result of intuitive and spontaneous creative flow. In a contrast to them, seemingly absurd ceramic vessels by Billy Cheung are only possible with great control and planning ahead. The organic shapes and loose patterns may remind you of something biological but actually it’s the graphical artworks that are inspired by cell division stages. The world is full of beautiful paradoxes.
