a|n gallery delighted to present to you our latest project, "Six Feet Under," an immersive and introspective exhibition that delves into the profound themes of homeland, identity, and mortality. Against the backdrop of a three-year pandemic and the ensuing restrictions on regions, creators faced immense obstacles. In the midst of these turbulent times, individuals worldwide began reexamining the very concept of "home."
Born in Hong Kong, Kasper Forest is a renowned multimedia artist known for his exploration of local culture and citizens' self-identity. His works challenge societal attitudes towards marginalized communities. With "Six Feet Under," Kasper invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences of seeking belonging in an uncertain world. He was the winner of the 2019 Art Next Expo International Artist Award and was sponsored a 3-month artist residency at Treasure Hill Taipei Artist Village. "Six Feet Under" was presented at the end of the residency in March this year, and Kasper has reconstructed the work specifically for the gallery.
