Screening + Post-screening Talk: In the Mood for Art at Eaton HK

In the Mood for Art (2023) is a documentary film by Michael Schindhelm. It delves into the opening of the M+, designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron and enriched by the donation of Chinese contemporary art pieces from Swiss collector Uli Sigg. It examines the museum’s and the art scene’s contributions to the debate on Hong Kong’s future, unveiling a new generation of artists and offering an unprecedented perspective on this Asian metropolis in search of its identity.

After the screening, the director Michael will be in a conversation with the protagonists of the film about the creative process of its filmmaking and their views on the future of the Hong Kong art scene. After the conversation, there will be a Q & A opening to the audience.
