"Anticipating light without waiting for the moon" Tsai Wei-Ting's first-ever solo exhibition in Hong Kong will be launched at Illuminati Fine Art on 14 March.
The symbolism of the moon is diverse. Apart from metaphorically representing femininity, nostalgia, and the passage of time, it also serves as a vessel for human emotions, carrying the yearning between lovers.

Illuminati Fine Art is pleased to launch an opening reception of a solo exhibition "Vanity in Void" by Zhang Yi-Sheng 張 益昇 this Friday (15 Dec, 2023) from 6PM to 7PM. An artist sharing session will start from 5PM to 6PM on the same day.
Zhang Yi Sheng, born in 1981 in Changhua now lives in Sichuan, China ink creation. Graduated from the National Taiwan University of the Arts Department of Painting and calligraphy master's class.

In-Betweenness — Taiwanese artist Peng Hui-Ting’s first ever solo exhibition in HK. Peng Hui-Ting was born in 1986 in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated at National Taiwan University of Art (Painting and Calligraphy) in 2008, then received her master degree at Taipei National University of the Arts in 2011.

Illuminati Fine Art is delighted to announce “In Search of Idyll”, a solo exhibition by Nina Pryde, showcasing over 30 sets of the artist’s works from 2006 to 2022. The works exhibited demonstrate her iconic technique embodying collage, ink on paper and oil on canvas.
Pryde is skilled at constructing abstract landscapes and city scenes from her brush work and photography so that natural motifs such as mountains, rivers, trees, rocks, hazy clouds and mist are arranged in a multi-layered composition, leading them to be seen as if from a level, a higher or a deeper distance.
Pryde’s works have a strong visual impact with powerful brushstrokes, flowing ink, boundless vision, magnificent and frequently showcased in multi-panel formats.

lluminati Fine Art proudly presents one of the most comprehensive retrospective duology “Painting of Reverberations” by a British-based Hong Kong artist, Christopher Ku. This exhibition will debut over 35 seminal works of the artist created from 2002 to the present, representing Ku’s ongoing experiments in material and painting technique while triggering discourses on the dynamics between artistic production, symbolism and narrativity.
The exhibition is presented in two chapters: “Reverberation” (from 23rd June to 15th July) and “Semantic Construction” (22nd July to 12th August). The two series of works to be on view will illustrate the stylistic breakthrough of the prolific artist, capturing the multitude of the artist’s psyche and creations over his decades of practice. As a juxtaposition to Ku’s research on the histories of art and painterly expressions, this exhibition explores the potential, the roles and the contemporaneity of painting.

Illuminati Fine Art is delighted to present Wong Sau Ching’s solo exhibition “Beyond the Senses” at the gallery. The exhibition features 24 pieces of oil paintings by artist between 2018 and 2020 which demonstrates his new ways of artistic expression. His new body of work depicts the reality based on the disordered pictures in Wong's memories as a way to reveal the inner world of his subconscious, which the two worlds may not necessarily have a logical connection. The works embody the artists’ attempt to interweave together the multiple layers of experience of one’s subconsciousness, instinct and dream, allowing the autonomous force to guide him.

Titled Anthem of Calamus, the exhibition showcases more than 30 new works created over the past two years. Lam Tian Xing is famous for his paintings of lotuses, yet for the first time ever, this exhibition will focus on works that take the calamus plant as a central theme. The artist’s focus on this plant, which represents a sign of strength, health and energy, acts as a blessing and support to Hong Kong people in view of the ongoing pandemic.
